Presentation Category:

Presentation Description:
Powering a water pump with solar cells is a great way to learn about the magic of turning sunlight into electricity. In this workshop, you’ll observe a solar fountain in action, then as part of a team be challenged to design a fountain that will pump water the highest. Given a budget, you’ll choose what components to ‘purchase’ to achieve this goal in the time allowed (1 class period!). The result is a hyper-engaging activity in which your students are sure to be immersed.
